The Callahan Institute of Arts, well known as CIA Dance, is conveniently located off the 5 freeway in Encinitas.  Founded in 2004 by Owner, Tamra Callahan and co-founder, Jeremy Lamont with a mission to provide quality dance training with a conscience.  We do this by monitoring our instructors’ music selections and choosing quality staff members who share our same vision.

The CIA believes in cooperation over competition.  We act on our commitment to teaching values by giving quarterly awards for integrity, character, discipline and loyalty to our students.  All CIA students are involved in nominating fellow students for these awards based on the display of such values.

Although we offer many styles of dance classes, we are best known for our award winning Hip Hop and Jazz programs.  We offer classes for ages 3 through adults.  We also offer competitive and performance dance teams and youth outreach programs.
